Abstract

|
Tourette¢¥s disorder is childhood-onset, neuropsychiatric disorder that is characterized by many different types of motor ties (grimacing, eye blinking, arm jerks, hopping, etc) and vocal symptoms (coughing, throat clearing, humming, saying words, etc).
Typically, the symptoms change with time, with one symptom becoming less apparent and new ones emerging, and there is fluctuation in severity.
The etiologies of tic disorder include the genetic factors, prenatal(fetal compromise), perinatal exposure to toxic materials stress, and neurobiologic involvement(disturbance in dopamine system, serotonin, GABA, etc).
We experienced a case of Tourette¢¥s disorder and reported it with the literature review.
